Black Rock Zebras stood against Izard County Consolidated Tuesday evening at Black Rock in three games: Black Rock Zebra Junior boys won over the Cougars with a score of 42 to 22 in the first game; Black Rock Lady Zebras lost to the Lady Cougars with a score of 60 to 76 in the second game and the Zebra Sr. Boys lost to the Izard County Consolidated Cougars with a score of 30 to 52 in the final game of the evening.

Hoxie Mustangs didn't fare well in the three games against the Corning Bobcats with the Bobcats winning the 7th grade boys game with a score of 24 to 28; winning the Junior Boys game with a score of 33 to 45 and winning the Senior Boys game with a score of 61 to 67 all in favor of the Corning Bobcats.

The Lady Mustangs played Brookland Lady Bearcats at Brookland. The 8th grade girls had the Lady Bearcats ahead at the end of the game with a score of 21 to 13. The Junior Lady Mustangs lost to the Lady Bearcats with a score of 41 to 28. The Senior Lady Mustangs over ran the Brookland Lady Bearcats with a ending score of 72 to 32.

Hoxie Lady Mustang's hosted the games with the Jr. Girls B Team, the Jr. Girls A Team and the Sr Girls against Highland Lady Rebels. The Lady Rebels took the evening with scores of 17 to 27, 32 to 47 and 42 to 56 winning all three games.

The Hoxie Mustangs traveled in force with all their basketball teams, Jr & Sr Girls and Jr & Sr Boys, to Walnut Ridge for a afternoon and evening of basketball. Games started at 4:00 P.M. and finished shortly after 9:00 P.M. with only a few minute break between games to grab a snack and to change teams on the court. Both teams were cheered on by numerous fans through out the afternoon and evening.

The NEA Tournament held in Jonesboro came to a end on Saturday, December 31, 2005, with some barn burner games. The Tournament showed the entire North East part of the State exactly how good our High School players are in their chosen sports.

The 46th William Baptist College Invitational Basketball Tournament, December 3, 2005, with the Hoxie Lady Mustangs and the Sloan Hendrix Lady Grey Hounds played in the final round with the Lady Grey Hounds winning the game with a score of 48 to 38.

Batesville's Riverside boys squared up with Sloan Hendrix's Grey Hounds and took the night with a score of 50 to 46.
